Dr. Jerry Lanier, founder of Pedo4GP, is a General Practitioner and former U.S. Public Health Service dentist. Early in his career, while working at a housing project clinic in New Orleans, he treated countless children with limited access to care. The long lines of underserved patients waiting for treatment inspired him to focus his practice on pediatric dentistry as a GP. As a serial entrepreneur, Dr. Lanier sold Kids Dental Kare in 2017 and went on to found Kids 2 Dentist in 2020, continuing his mission to serve underserved communities in Central California.

Building on his commitment to improving access to care, Dr. Lanier recognized that addressing the provider shortage in underserved communities couldn’t rely solely on pediatric specialists. Instead, he saw the need to empower general practitioners with advanced training, hands-on experience, and ongoing peer support. Over 30 years ago, he developed the Pedo4GP course to fulfill this vision. Today, Pedo4GP is transforming how dental services are delivered to children in underserved areas by equipping GPs with specialized skills and fostering a network of like-minded professionals. Together, they are paving the way for a future where quality care is accessible to all.
